Winter In Houston [Update: Low Humidity!]

#1 Postby Swimdude » Fri Jul 29, 2005 10:25 pm

Tonight is absolutely amazing! I was sitting outside of this nice little coffee place [not Starbucks, for once] during a Bible study. And there was a storm in the area, but seemed to be sitting in one spot. The lightning display was amazing. The temperature dropped to about 70 degrees, and there was wind!

It felt like Winter in Houston!

And then TODAY was even more amazing!

Low[er] humidity all day! It was about 99 degrees outside, but it still felt like a semi-hot October day. And in the middle of July, that's pretty darn nice. Whew!

At 8:11 this morning, the humidity topped at 92%.

An hour later, 85%.

By 12:30 this afternoon, HOUSTON was at 50% humidity.

At 6:00 p.m. - the humidity dipped to 36%.

That's right.

36%.

In Houston.

In July.

Heaven.

I know, it's like if the temperature falls below freezing in Florida a state of emergency is declared lol

here a light jacket is the rule for 20 to 30... winter gear isnt brought out until the teens are reached.

:uarrow: SO true. Haven't you noticed? In Houston and the South... It has to be 113 degrees outside for us to gain a "heat advisory." In the North, it's more like 95... OH and freeze warnings! Houston gets them when we TOUCH 32 degrees. Some places up North have to wait until -20. Haha.
