GUlf of mexico Tropical Summary - GUTS IN on July 30, 2005

You knew it was coming, a compliment for WATS UP and EATS OUT!

I'll start off with the extremely dry air over Texas, Louisiana, and
Mississippi, slowly creeping its way south. There's modest convection
in the northwestern GOM with this.

A weak low pressure and trof is south of Alabama/Florida and I do not
expect this to develop into a tropical system.

An upper level low is over south Florida, and I do not expect tropical development here either.

It will be interesting to see if the wave moving across south Florida will do anything once it gets into the Gulf of Mexico.

The dry air will retrograde Westward. The moist air will win over this time and push it back.

Hey - what about a CATS DOWN? (CAribbean Tropical Summary) lol

Might need it when 93L Invest enters the Caribbean.

BTW, thanks for all the WATS, EATS, and GUTS and nice job! I find them really enjoyable and informative. :D
