#1 Postby Ivanhater » Sat Jul 30, 2005 4:52 pm

how many days will this lull last without a depression forming? personally i think it will be no longer than a week...cant just look at whats going on now, for example, 93 was declared dead and had no attention and then bam, so look down the road a lil bit

A little less than two weeks, but more than 10 days.

I say 3-4. 93L will not be upgraded tomorrow, but it will wait for a few days. 92 will make its way into the Gulf, and ultimately becomes the next storm. 93 forms shortly after 92, but 93 stays more southerly while 92 makes its way to Florida.
This post is just the imagination of the poster and will likely not happen.

Not sure but a nice lull would be nice. I don't know about everyone else, but I just get the feeling that things could start to really fire toward the middle and latter part of August. The MJO will have changed by then, and if the SAL goes away during that time, with almost boiling SST's and low wind shear, it could get very busy!

if we do have a lull for a couple of weeks, i think it will come back and bite us in the you know where, the waters will be left undisturbed and could help in rapid intinsification come peak season..just a thought

I think another 5 days or so, then it should pick up, albeit slowly, then "gather steam".
