First off today, my sympathy goes out to the folks in Texas and Southwest
Louisiana. Y'all are suffering from a drought, and the dry air above you
will only add to your misery today.

There's still a weak low and trof over the northern Gulf of Mexico
that's causing convection to fire off. I do not expect this
area to develop into a tropical system as it meanders in the area for
the next day or two.

The upper level low in the southeastern Gulf is weakening as it moves
off to the southwest.

My drought is over. I've had over 10 inches of rain in July...6.46" in the past 10 days. I need some dry air so I can get my yard mowed.

Now if it will just rain!!

I put fertilizer out and will have to water today if we don't get rain!!!!

I hear ya ou on that one!!!! It is either feast or famine here.

That low over the NE GOM is still slated to slide our way today and tomorrow and bring with it some possible heavy tropical downpours in the next few days. One of our locals alluded to it sitting and wandering over the hill country area for a few days and pumping all sorts of moisture in.

With 93L in the wings, we may be watching out for that by sometime next week and it is still a possibility that part of 92L will split off and move into SE FL and/or the GOM and get a new lease on life. Nothing, as usual, is concrete, but it isn't totally dull yet. IOW, what break?

Dweather thats to bad I have had 4 out of the last 5 days rain here just 40miles from ya along the coast.

Sea observations show the location of the that weak low just off the LA/MS coast also.
