Western Atlantic Tropical Summary - WATS UP on July 31, 2005
<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/wats20050731.jpg">
Today I want to start out with the HUGE VICIOUS upper level low that
is consuming the top right portion of the frame. That baby is big and
bad!!! I'm glad I'm not a tropical system near it, or I'd be toast!
Invest 92L is not looking very well this morning. Conditions for
development will improve today as this system moves west/west
northwest today. I still do not see any significant development from
this system in the next day.
Invest 93L looks much more promising today. There's a little dry air in
front of it as it moves westward, but nothing like 92L had to fight through.
Air Force Recon will likely check this system out today as it moves
westward. This system warrants watching, and I think we may see
a tropical depression from in the next couple of days.
A tropical wave is near 10N/-48W and I do not expect development of
this system in the next two-three days.
Comments always welcomed!
