I was just looking at that, but I'm wondering if its going to get squashed before it even has a chance due to the dry air.

Many of these storms moving off Africa have looked impressive until the get out over the water.

It is however, almost August so it will still be worth watching to see if anything happens. Still not getting my hopes up to much.

Seems like it has the deepest convection of any emerging so far, but of course, it could fall apart over water.
