This is something that folks may not familar with...they just started sending data out under this header 3 weeks ago (or so).

These are HDOB observations. This stands for High Density Observations, and is a new capability offered by the new WC130-J aircraft. These products are coming in on the SXXX50 header on a temporary basis until they create a new header for these observations.

They transmitted under this header as a part of the training mission I am sure...look where the coordinates for the last one were...30.5 88.1...near Mobile AL.

Information on how to decode this information can be found on page g-7 of this document...you will need a PDF reader but most folks have that:

It's actually some pretty cool data...very detailed...I was running through some of it during the last flight into the former 92L...

Yeah, it has been quite useful this year. Senor has created a script to quickly decode them during the recon missions.
