ACE = Accumulated Cyclone Energy index - basically a sum of all cyclone activity for the season.

They might be thinking more than 21, but they can't say that because if people hear that we might have Hurricane Alpha, well, imagine the panic :eek: :D

This is not surprising at all. We all knew that with 7 named storms already there would have to be at least 18-21 named storms total this season. Actually, this season can be less active than last season from this point on and still achieve 21 storms.
