Poll: Will every depression become a named storm this year

In last years horrible season only TD 10 failed to become a named season

this season is shaping out worse could they all becomed named?

The only way that won't happen is if they decide to call something a depression as it begins to move under 40-some knots of shear. But since they've had that opportunity twice in the past four days, I say yes. The SSTs will take care of that.

I thought that TD's weren't named but TS's were so technickly none of the TD's will be named but all of the TS's will

Yes. TD 10 formed last year, so this year will try to beat the record 2004 couldn't. Gut feeling.

I think there will be some depressions that don't get named. If it becomes as active as they say, we will likely see some home grown systems like the Bay of Campechee area or off the coast of Florida moving ashore shortly after they form.

I may be off the mark but I think 1998 was the last season in which every tropical depression intensified into at least tropical storm status.
