What are they basing the TD classification off? Ship Reports?

I may be wrong but it looks as if the front is braking down. TD 8 may be able to push through and not go out to sea.But a wait and see game. I hope it does go out to sea I want to go fishing Sat.

If it becomes a named storm it will be 8, but it is hardly worthy of a name, but rules are rules.

What are you talking about. I'v seen systems looks like this that where 60 mph when recon got into them. In the nhc has confirmed the LLC that is on the edge of the convection. 27/68.

This was the commentary in the 2:05 TWD

A 1010 MB SURFACE LOW HAS DEVELOPED OVER THE WESTERN ATLANTIC
NEAR 26N69W. SCATTERED MODERATE TO STRONG CONVECTION IS E OF
THE LOW FROM 26N-31N BETWEEN 66W-70W.
