until the SAL clears completely out and since there was another smaller surge recently thats chasing this system it may impede the eastern side if it catches up to it.
DOMINATED BY A MID/UPPER HIGH W OF THE CAPE VERDE

MODERATE SUBSIDENCE AND DRY UPPER AIR CAN ONLY SUPPORT LOW

IS S OF 25N FROM 20W-40W...NOT AS DENSE AS THE PREVIOUS SURGE
THAT IS OVER THE W TROPICAL ATLC WHICH IS S OF 23N W OF 40W INTO
THE E CARIBBEAN. AT THE SURFACE...BROAD HIGH PRESSURE DOMINATES
THE ATLC N OF 20N E OF 60W WITH A RIDGE AXIS EXTENDING FROM THE
NE ATLC NEAR 32N32W SW ALONG 26N43W TO A 1021 MB HIGH LOCATED
NEAR 24N55W.
just not optimal conditions YET but thats subject to change in my opinion this one is looking good for it just coming off the coast but to jump up and say Irene is a bit speculative remember we just went thru 93L being this big time threat to the GOM and it everyone gave it a name but nothing ever happened with it. All i am saying is that patience is a virtue and can save you from a big ole crow dinner

This system has some dry air on the North side but in general the conditions are good. The SAL is behind it and should not be a factor. Ahead of it conditions seem to be favorable for development.
