Well, duh, but if you look at the NHP prob maps, it virtually disappears over TX in October

Because of the troughs that come down. They force storms NE. That's when a Charley-type track is most likely.

hey neighbor! I prefer not having flash floods but the current rain is nice

You need to go up to the sticky that says 'what's your lat/long' and put yours in! No need to to gps your front door - the middlw of your zip code is plenty close enough :)

hmm, interesting. I live in Montgomery County about 2 miles from the Harris County line - every 6.2 years. It's been a lot longer than that since the last one...
