GUTS/WATS/EATS - feedback please!

#1 Postby dhweather » Fri Aug 05, 2005 9:59 am

I think I've been doing the Gulf/Western/Eastern Atlantic Tropical
Summary for two weeks now, and I'd like to know what you folks like
about the presentation, and areas you think I could improve upon.

I take criticism well, so don't be shy!

If you think there's more that needs to be added, or something changed,
just post it here. I welcome and appreciate your comments!

I like what you are doing. It is, at a minimum, a learning tool for those not as versed as to how the tropics work. If you do anything different you might add a little more explanation as to why what is happening is happening.(Ithink that made sense???).

David you are doing an excellent work with the updates.Only a little more detailed discussions would be more helpful but the graphics are A+.

Well...its the same as the TPCs TWO and TWD, essentially.

Tho I guess illustrating where the disturbances and what not are, can help people "see" it better.

Just my opinion..

Like I said yesterday, I really like the format. The annotated WV image does a great job of eliminating any confusion as to what features are being discussed below.

I don't think you should try to add too much more. The discussions are sparse now, but in a few weeks just covering the material you do will amount to some substantial posts.

One idea I had was that as storms develop, you may want to include a visible image closeup of the system with the discussion. Just a thought.

I thank all of you for the feedback!

I'll get a little more verbose on the "whats and whys" and see how that goes.

Jan - I like the closeup idea - thank you!

DH I like them too. In fact I say the more the merrier. I like a variety ranging from the very technical we get from NHC and our pro mets to a more "plain language" outlook for amateurs and newbies.

I really like the way I can see the synoptics at a glance.

Please keep it up!

I also read them every day. They are very easy to understand. Maybe a little more discussion about what is going on, but other than that, keep up the good work!!

Your stuff is a much easier read than the TWD. Quicker, too.

DH - I think your daily offerings are a great benefit to this board and I look forward to them every day! The graphics obviously make things easy for people like me who have limited knowledge, and the analysis provides not only the real deal, but serves as an education as well. So, many thanks - I hope you'll keep it up.

And for a little levity....(J/K J/K)
