Yea, down here in Houma this morning, it felt really nice. Hardly any humidity.

We've had close to 3" of rain at my house since Monday...I really would like to see the sunshine again but it has been nice to see temps stay in the 80s...

Re: Low in the Gulf
Local meteorologists here in New Orleans report that system is baroclinic at this time. It is weak and close to land which may inhibit development. We will have to watch and see what happens over the weekend. There is a small chance it could actually become tropical. Whatever it becomes and if it persist, it may eventually push west.

There's a well defined circulation associated with this system now around Mobile bay. However as long as it's over land we won't have anything to worry about.

yup. This trough, weak low, or what ever has supposed to have been pushed, edged, drifted west for the past two weeks or so with out moving.

Just needs to drift south a little to get energized and do so.

Been very interesting today here in Destin, been a steady easterly wind and rain all day pushing 3" here at my house already just today. It does have the look (low stratus moving quickly westward as the precip. moves northward) of a Tropical system and raining like one in sheets with wind. Once a heavy band moves by the wind dies, but remains out of the east.

Still, the low needs to be at least 100 miles or so south of the coast to have a chance to become anything and I just have seen no sign of it drifting anywhere.
