Eastern Atlantic Tropical Summary - EATS OUT on August 6, 2005

<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/eats20050806.jpg">

I covered TD 9 in the WATS UP summary.

In the eastern Atlantic, brutally dry air continues to be the dominant
feature. As tropical waves come off the African coast, as one is now,
they are effectively mauled by the extremely dry air and Saharan Dust.

For this reason, I do not expect tropical cyclone development for the
next 48-72 hours in the eastern Atlantic.
