Objective hurricane's strike

#1 Postby HUC » Sun Aug 07, 2005 5:08 pm

I often heard that Florida is the state that received more hurricane's strike. That's right, considering the UNITED STATES.But,if you are considering the geography, you can see that Florida extend from 25°Nto 30°N(think i'am correct),and the eastern carribean extend from 10°N to 18°N.That's says, there is some 5° in latitude in one case, and 8° in the other case. How many storms have been recorded in these respective zones?Does someone got these data? I think that more storms strike the east carribean, but,Florida is stuck by more intense storms. It'right?Thank's
