Looking at the IR satellite tonight, it just looks like an area of thunderstorms.

FWIW, Guadeloupe reported 3 mph winds out of the west at 2:00 AM.

30 mph, rather than 3? I saw where they put up a flash flood advisory last night...

I saw that little blob early on yesterday and wondered if I was just being paranoid 8-) But we'll watch it...like we watch everything!

http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USNationalWide.asp?loc=usa&seg=StormCenter&prodgrp=Tropical&product=AtlanticAnalysis&prodnav=none

I don't know how accurate intellicast is but here is the map of the Atlantic and it shows the waves in a black line.

a few showers here this morning but sunny skies now. It is passing South of us.

This is part of the 5 AM Puerto Rico discussion:

LATEST SATELLITE IMAGERY ALONG WITH THE DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED
PATCHES OF CLOUDS WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
MOVING WEST ACROSS THE REGION IN THE PREVAILING EASTERLY WIND FLOW.
THE LARGER SURGE OF MOISTURE MENTIONED ABOVE IS NOW CROSSING THE
SOUTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS (GUADELOUPE... MONTSERRAT...ST KITTS) AND
WILL AFFECT PARTS OF THE U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS LATER THIS MORNING...
THEN PUERTO RICO AND ADJACENT ISLANDS LATER IN THE AFTERNOON. THE
TROPICAL WAVE TRAILING THIS MOISTURE SURGE IS FORECAST TO PASS SOUTH
OF PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY. THESE TWO FEATURES WILL BRING SUFFICIENT MOISTURE TO THE
AREA TO AID IN DESTABILIZING THE ATMOSPHERE AND ENHANCING THE SHOWER
AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ACROSS THE LOCAL REGION TODAY THROUGH
TUESDAY. THUS...THERE IS HIGH POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP ESPECIALLY DURING THE LATE MORNING AND
AFTERNOON HOURS. OCCASIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ALSO INCREASE
CHANCES OF URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING AS WELL AS SOME RIVER
FLOODING. ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WILL BE ACROSS THE WEST
INTERIOR SECTIONS OF PUERTO RICO DURING THE AFTERNOON...A FEW LINES
OF SHOWERS AND AN EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS COULD DEVELOP AN AFFECT
PARTS OF THE SAN JUAN METRO AREA.

Thanks msbee! I didn't get around to reading that this morning. Nothing here yet but hot breezes and hazy (dusty) blue skies.
