12Z ECMWF

#1 Postby hurricanetrack » Mon Aug 08, 2005 8:15 pm

Although I cannot post a link to it b/c it is on a pay site- http://www.wright-weather.com - the 12Z ECMWF clearly shows Irene coming in to the Carolinas. Maybe this has been said before here- but I just took a look at it a moment ago and thought, "hmm".

Perhaps there are other sites where that model is available for free....but that's what it showed. Not just a hump on the isobars either, but a decent little low. We'll see....

Doing the conversions, 25m/s is about 68mph. Not bad for what she looks like now.

That is over my house. :hmm: Don't see that coming true: Or, at least I hope it is not going to happen -reverse -removed-. I guess it is building that ridge in pretty strong while keeping the storm weak?

What is the estimated intensity at landfall according to that model?

Note Derek Ott's post - apparently the system is no more, or near to being no more.
