well things are getting interesting. anytime a system suggests a possible threat to the mainland concern goes up. :D

Yep... and I just joined here yesterday. I've already posted 19 times (including now!). :wink:

Right now, Irene and the African waves appear to be the only main things to be really watching in the Atlantic basin for now. Also, Irene looks much less impressive than earlier today. The dry air is still around if you look at the water vapor imagery. There is really a lot of dry air especially to the north and south of the "African Wave Train" now traveling through the Atlantic.
