oh yeah...atleast as of now, it sounds like irene will make it under the trof...and not get picked up?? did i understand that right??

Hmm, interesting, I don't read anything about a NW movement, but that it will go further west underneath the trough.

Yes, having the HPC write the advisory sometimes happens, since they are the backup when the NHC has hardware or comms problems...

NHC often does tests as HPC is the back-up for NHC if NHC ever goes down

I really don't see why they fixed the motion at 280. From the 5 AM advisory to the 11 AM advisory it moved WSW.
