Bradenton, FL (West Coast - about 40 miles south of Tampa). Tucked in just under Florida's protuberant 'bellybutton'.

"protuberant bellybutton"...lol  i'm sure you've been to Siesta Key in Sarasota...one of my favorite beaches

Way down yonder in Wacahoota, Florida.

Where all the mobile homes have extre tie downs, not because of the hurricanes, but because of the skeeters.

When them big skeeters get real hungry they will stab their stingers thru the metal roof of mobile homes tryin to get at ya. Cause their stingers are barbed they cant pull em out and they get stuck on your roof. And if enuf get on the roof, they can fly off wif your mobile home!

Hence the extre tie downs. 8-)

I voted other because I am from st. maarten, close to PR and the Virgin Islands but a different island and country.

Many times I have wanted to reply to your posts.

Born Austin, Tx 59 -61

I have shared your pain (and others) from afar for the islands. The most memorable time of my life was the 12 days in the paradise of St. Martin and Anguilla. Paradise on Earth with a price to pay being in harms way. Had I the means, I'd be there with you holding hands during the next storm (inevitable) and the recovery afterwards. My thoughts and prayers will always be with you and the others in your part of the world at this time of year. Be SAFE
