nc and next week
If Joe Bastardi is correct, looks like the Carolinas are in for a hurricane mid to late next week

Certainly a possibility ...
I haven't looked at last night's Euro, but the previous runs had a ridge setup that would likely take Jose if he forms north through the Bahamas and up to the Carolinas.
As usual, it's all timeing ast to how far the ridge extends when the system gets into that region. Certainly it might be strong enough to push it across Florida, but I'm not sold on that idea by any means.

It's all a waiting game at this point.

with the number of systems that have already recurved its a growing concern for me that the ridge is not as strong as last year and that the storms are on a recurve pattern instead of a slam into Florida pattern.I am concerned because sooner or later that ridge will set up just far enough west that it will bring one POSSIBLY into the carolinas.I don't usually like JB's forecast(hypecast) but i have to say its concerning but only time will tell so lets all sit back and enjoy the rest of the season.
