Not a complete discussion about the wave as the writer did not include where is the low center.

I'd assume there still is one...the TWDs seem to be very inconsistent from one issuance to the next.

Mike the running of the tropical models has continued since the invest was up from 00:00z last night. They had made three runs but internaly not for public view, the 00:00z,6:00z and the 12:00z this last one has the initial plot at 12.0n-24.2w.That is why no grapfics haven't been seen yet.

Yeah, well neither is the CPAC invest. But they don't care about 15kt invests in the middle of nowhere :)

I am not sure that NHC has called an official invest as there are model runs for all official invests. In addition, there as of the last time I checked, no 97L in the ATCF file and all other cyclones have been receiving model runs. I wonder if the Navy jumped the gun so to speak

Could be a possibility. So when do you think that runs for this thing should start popping up because its looking pretty healthy right now.

Interesting thought Derek. It would be a first if Navy jumped first or it has happened before?

It does have a metwatch status in ATCF in the index file as of 8/22/00Z...

INVEST, AL, L, , , , , 97, 2005, DB, O, 2005082100, 9999999999, , , , , , METWATCH, , AL972005

Not sure if that paticular directory is populated by the Navy or not...but there is reference to 97L in ATCF...

I'm not in the office today, but from what I can see on our limited meteosat imagery that has 1-deg lat/lon lines on it, there could be an LLC up near 17-18N and 26W. That's not far from where the GFS initializes it, but well north of the convection.
