A good yankee made hard roll.

They are hard to come by in this part of the country. Anyone want to volunteer to send me some from say...Maryland or Pennsylvania?

Nalora
admits Yankees make some fine bread.

Amanzi!! lol!! Yeah, I love the stuff!!! I didn't know it was known in South Africa!! Yeah I also love Bovril, I used to drink it after I went swimming back in th UK!

That's great Amanzi!! I was hoping someone would know! hehe

:)

Marmite is basically a yeast spread. You either love it or hate it! It's completely black and looks like Tar!! They used to give it to people in the war who were going days without food. It's almost like a guiness, but without the alcohol! But it's solid! lol Sounds hideous eh?!?!

Anyway, being from England, I had it all the time and they have it at Kroger here in town!!!

:)

At least where i live we have this brand called "Nature's Own" bread. They make this Honey Wheat style bread that is just delicious. I eat it with everything. Sandwiches, toast etc. Oh so i voted for the wheat, b/c thats basically what it is!

I prefer white bread, but don't mind eating Italian and French at times. :)

Fresh white bread, not day old. I love peanut butter & jelly on fresh white bread. The bread's so fresh it sticks to the roof of your mouth.

I know wheat bread is better for you, but I like white better and it MUST be fresh. I get made fun of a lot about that...people say, "Kelly won't eat that bread...the date on it is only a week away."

That's true, Southerngale, wheat break is supposed to be healthier than white bread. I am not "crazy" about wheat bread, but once an awhile I will eat it.
