Walmart netted $10.3billion last year. Thus, this is the equivilant of someone who makes $40,000 a year donating $39, or roughly 0.1% of their net income. (Actually, that's being nice -- unlike the $40,000 figure, the 10.3 billion figure is all after expenses and taxes -- that's nothing but pure profit.) Nice gesture from a company that, were it a country, would have the 33rd largest economy in the world, but I consider it to be mostly a PR move.
