#1.. I work for Wal Mart so please don't diss my company in a public forum..

2. That comment was uncalled for considering the post was that Wal Mart had donated a million bucks to the relief effort. If ya wanna bash Wal Mart.. do it in the Off Topic forum please

I dont know why people don't like walmart so much. I love that store :). As someone who doesn't make alot of money at my job, it's actually a store that I can afford to shop!...

Anyway, back to the subject, glad to hear they are donating!!!

I can't edit my post. Sorry for the political rant, I hadn't seen the other replies. :(

I have my opinion on Walmart too, but it ain't neccesary to spout everything one thinks in every situation.

I say good for them, and good for Office Depot.

Did Wal-Mart donate any of that "orange glow". I'm still laughing.

Walmart netted $10.3billion last year. Thus, this is the equivilant of someone who makes $40,000 a year donating $39, or roughly 0.1% of their net income. (Actually, that's being nice -- unlike the $40,000 figure, the 10.3 billion figure is all after expenses and taxes -- that's nothing but pure profit.) Nice gesture from a company that, were it a country, would have the 33rd largest economy in the world, but I consider it to be mostly a PR move.

Yes they have an economy comparable to Belgium. Anything is good though. Don't look a gift camel in the mouth.
