Track continues to remain the same; intensity is upped to accommodate this rapid intensification currently underway--which should probably stop in the next few hours; at least temporarily. This brings Rita onshore as a Category 3 hurricane after intensifying to a Cat 4. Nonetheless, the hurricane will be powerful and dangerous.
