The last 3 IR frames make me nervous. That is a monster. Already had my share.

You can't say that for certain, and only being close will be catastrophic.

It's not supposed to have a northern component yet. It's too soon!

NHC had it at 24.5 at 12hours, and that was 6 hours ago. So technically it should be at 24.4 at advisory.

It certainly does appear to have some northerly component. Whether this is just a temporary jog or a trend- we will have to wait and see. Nothing would surprise me this year!!

She has slowly began heading north of those forecast points for several hours now. I wonder what the models will show if she continues this for several more hours?

There has definately been a WNW trend over the past few hours. She's still making me nervous here in south central Louisiana.

Easy to say when you're in Connecticuit, and your house doesn't look like this:

MSMagnet... Is that your home?  I can understand you being scared, I would feel the same way. I cant believe how high the water was, as evident in the last picture!!! Very scary and heart breaking.

To get back on topic. I think we will have to wait a bit and see if Rita wobbles back westward... I hope she just wobbles herself in a hundred loops right where she is and kills herself... Kind of like a upwelling noose!

Yes, that was my home. I still cannot believe I had 8 feet of water in there. You can see that it stopped the clock at 11:05 am. It placed a bag of dog food on the center island. Lots of strange things.

Looks like Rita is trying to wobble west again.
