No worries. As another poster did for the State of Florida, New Orleans, and, indeed, the whole State of Louisiana, has opted out of the remainder of hurricane season. Someone please alert Mother Nature. Thank you.

All the same, I think its a good thing that construction probably will not begin on the lower floor of my house until after hurricane season.

I can't believe we have 19 pages on a blob that isn't even a depression yet with pressures of 1010.

That is exactly what I said last year after Charley, Frances & Jeanne came through here. Guess what? Now I am guessing that my house will not be completed until after this years hurricane season. Bummer! Oh well...what can you do?

Lol -- well, that's the season now. Every blob with potential will get long threads. The Gulf Coast is knocked on its butt and dazed, and even the hint of another stampede of storms will get a lot of attention.

Of utmost importance of admitting:
Just so everyone knows, I have developed a Severe Obsessive
Tropics Disorder
and cannot help but obsess madly in every blob
over the ocean....
When I consume great amounts of stimulatory endorphine promoters
(chocolate) my mind is elevated to a profound sense of elation that
delivers me from my diabolically tormenting obsession.
But such instances of elation have become rare, in essence
attenuated given the wild wild world of the diabolical tropics.

Kevin_Cho wrote:Yep, i agree...19 pages is a bit of overload/overkill/overdose on an invest that looks rather ragged right now. However, if it does develop, i'd say anyone from the Florida West Coast to the Texas Gulf Coast will need to watch it. In all fairness, if anyone should get a hit, it would be West Florida, not because it's a good place, but because I doubt any OTHER part of the Gulf can withstand even a tropical storm...i'd say West Florida is most prepared to weather a hurricane. At least more so than the Central Gulf, the Florida Panhandle, and much of the Texas Gulf Coast....am I making any sense at all??

Well, if you keep devouring chocolate until the 00Z runs come out after 11PM, I doubt you'll get much sleep tonight. Does that answer your questions about the next model run?

I am moving to an inland part of St. Petersburg instead of right along the
bay if a big one ever threatens or hits
