so that wave tat is north of Puerto Rico right now is what is showing up on the UKMET that is gonna be near the north FL/GA border?

It looks like the UKMET expects a weaker ridge... if they expected a stronger ridge, the system would probably be further south. There is a strong trough coming through, which may likely slightly weaken the ridge.

Yes. Also, in the CMC map above, the vort max east of the Bahamas comes from there, and later in the run it heads for South Carolina.

The vort max the CMC is showing over Florida comes from the south - not clear to me if it's 99L or not, the CMC doesn't seem to have initialized much of anything for 99L.

The UKMET takes 99L WNW across the Yucatan and the Bay of Campeche.

GFS shows nothing. And you are talking about two models that arent very accurate.

Im just saying you are basing this off two models that are not very accurate with the tropics. Now if the GFDL picked up on it then you may be on something. I have no problem with you at all.
