It means, Deb321, that that wave is expected by all of the global models to make it to the Bahamas and Florida in 4-6 days. Not to be alarmist, but it has a good circulation, convection is starting to fire up around it, and it has 4-6 days of fairly warm water and good conditions before it reaches the US. What it will be by then is anyone's guess, and whether it enters the Gulf is too, though if it does, cold fronts at this time of year might not let it get very far into the Gulf. Just pay attention to it and be prepared.

Thanks vaffie, hope it doesn't come to Florida but I will be keeping my eye on it. Last thing I need is a hurricane breathing down my neck right now , my hubby is working out of town and won't be here to help prepare. Oh well, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Well I sure am not gonna be a happy camper if whatever that
thing is comes to Tampa...unless it is a weak depression that gives
central florida some much needed rain (it has been very dry here
all month long)

We have been getting quite a bit of rain over here on the east side. Tuesday it rained really hard and has rained off and on the past two days. We even had some hail on Tuesday, not real sure what caused all of it but I would gladly send it your way if I could.
