I've been hurricane punch-drunk since before Katrina made landfall. If we never have another hurricane season like this one in my lifetime, it will be too soon.

I can't imagine what it's like for those who have been impacted the most, it must be like waking up on a different planet where everything you ever knew is different forever.

Indeed. My kids are living in New York, I'm living in Alabama and my wife is living in Louisiana. We have no house. We have no things but photos and report cards.
