I went to the Wal-Mart "Country Club" last night about 11 PM & stocked up on water. Had to stand in line 20 min behind 3 Wal-Mart employees on the clock cashing their checks at the only open register. Every one in line was furious. That's why I only go to Wal-Mart for water. :roll:

PBC Schools Open

Well...... PBC School District has struck again! School will be open Friday and they will decide tomorrow what they are doing Monday! :roll:

Dade is open tomorrow as well. The only reason that Broward is closed is because they had a Teacher Planning Day already planned for Friday. There's no real reason to close the schools in Dade/Broward/Palm Beach tomorrow, IMO.

There's no reason to close them tomm if it's due to hit Sunday.

My students were -removed- today, though I told them I am confident that Monday will be a closure day, particularly if this system slows down more. :D

Give the kids a term paper to do and they can use the web as a resource. My niece did one on Hurricanes and got an A+. Wonder where she got her info? :wink:

Loop Current as in A stream of water like the gulf stream and not the Yukatan...Its Right off the Yukatan Im guessing..

Seems like more and more Mets, including local; think that this storm will be much weaker than origianlly anticipated when it gets to SW FL and thus; a Cat 1 (weak at that) by the time it reaches the East Coast.

Sure hope that these forecasts come to fruition!

IMO, the longer it takes the more chance for it to die out a lot and/or take a different track.

Maybe I am -removed- but I get the feeling that when all is said and done this will hardly be the story we feared 24-48 hours ago. 8-)
