Jeremy - you will face this surgery as you have your past surgeries and get thru it. It does sound as if your day to day quality of life will be greatly improved, after the surgery. So take it one week at a time right now, keeping up with your classes and studies, following doc's orders (I'm sure you are already), eat well, rest, and prepare for this surgery. We'll be here, supporting you all the way. At least you have had past surgeries. I always think that's a blessing in disguise, you know what it will be like and do all you can to recover well from it (as I did for my second major surgery).

Take care.......prayers, hugs coming your way.

Mary

Well, it had been seheduled for February 14th, 2006. Until yesterday. Last night, word came that it's been re-scheduled for DECEMBER 15! That's 10 days before Christmas. What a rotten way for me to end 2005. :(

No, you don't need this. However, at least your studies will keep your mind occupied.

You're in my prayers little buddy!

The love I'm feeling from my friends here, and at other places, is all that's getting me through this. I appreciate it more than you may ever know. It will be a rough few weeks to be sure. The plan right now is that I'll be out on December 22nd if nothing goes wrong, which I don't believe it will. At least I'll get home by Christmas, even if I can't participate in the activities leading up to Christmas Day itself as much as I'd like to.

I think there are enough of us on here that our "collective" stitches" from all our surguries are measured in yards, not inches. I added 18" of scars (about 9" to each leg) to my exterior in 2005, and consider myself in good health with many good years yet to come!

Think positive about the challenges you face, and don't worry about having "scratches and dents" along the way. It's the power of the mind and soul that count the most, and you'll continue to get doses of that medicine from a lot of folks here.

Good luck and best wishes.

Jeremy - well wishes coming from across the river. I know this was a shock, having your surgery date moved up. Perhaps you can catch more rest over the holidays than if it were several months later. At least I hope so. Hoping it goes well too. Praying, as always.
