December surgery update...going back under one more time...
Moderator: S2k Moderators
Jeremy - you will face this surgery as you have your past surgeries and get thru it. It does sound as if your day to day quality of life will be greatly improved, after the surgery. So take it one week at a time right now, keeping up with your classes and studies, following doc's orders (I'm sure you are already), eat well, rest, and prepare for this surgery. We'll be here, supporting you all the way. At least you have had past surgeries. I always think that's a blessing in disguise, you know what it will be like and do all you can to recover well from it (as I did for my second major surgery).
Take care.......prayers, hugs coming your way.

The love I'm feeling from my friends here, and at other places, is all that's getting me through this. I appreciate it more than you may ever know. It will be a rough few weeks to be sure. The plan right now is that I'll be out on December 22nd if nothing goes wrong, which I don't believe it will. At least I'll get home by Christmas, even if I can't participate in the activities leading up to Christmas Day itself as much as I'd like to.

I think there are enough of us on here that our "collective" stitches" from all our surguries are measured in yards, not inches. I added 18" of scars (about 9" to each leg) to my exterior in 2005, and consider myself in good health with many good years yet to come!
Think positive about the challenges you face, and don't worry about having "scratches and dents" along the way. It's the power of the mind and soul that count the most, and you'll continue to get doses of that medicine from a lot of folks here.
Good luck and best wishes.
