Something to talk about at this slow time in the season....no really, storms that form to the South of us usually get picked up by an approaching cold front...AKA Wilma...thought this might happen again if the long range pans out.....PS... I was dead on with Wilmasouthfloridawx2005 wrote:Windtalker1 wrote:and with a cold front coming down. could she be heading toward Florida?
Why say it do you?

Model Runs
Living in South Florida myself I can tell you that even a swipe of another storm not only would turn us upside sown considering most of us are now sporting the blue roof look due to tarps and debris is everywhere but the insurance compaines are still no where to be found. So all in all I think the sanity level of South Floridians would be pushed over the top at the threat of yet another storm. I keep telling my self that is the preice I pay for living here. Many of my friends and neighbors have vowed to move out if we are hit again this season. Otherwise it wouldnt suprise me as this is 2005 season and anything goes. Can soemone tell me where i can get a link to show these model runs?? I can get to the GFDL and such but on the left you have to choose a disturbance to look at and if there isnt one what do you do? Thanks for any info.

The link is:
http://weather.net-waves.com/modelplot.htm
Rather than pick a name click on the "Can I see the global models please???"
Then just choose your model.
We found the link very helpful for Wilma as we looked at each models run. Unfortunately they were in consensus so we knew what was going to happen, which it did.
Yeah, people would totally freak if another storm came here.
My adjuster is currently on the roof assessing damage.
I know you are frustrated with not seeing your insurance company but hang in there, the list of visits for them to make is LONG.
Finally, if only the Canadian shows a development, it has been notoriously poor of late and I would hold little faith in it. Only if others latch on would I worry and then still question whether a storm could come here from the east anyway.
