Still 31.3 here with Ice Storm Warnings North and West of I-85. That is a huge plume of moisture coming this way, I have a hard time believing Raleigh gets through this with nothing.

Down to 30.7 now here with radar echos closing in on Columbia headed our way. I think Raleigh gets in on the act with the Tuesday event next week.

NWS Charlotte states the GFS was high by at least three degrees with today in many areas. We were suppose to see 38, never got above 34. Temps and DP's are lower than models indicated-thus Ice Storm Warnings.

Your WEST of Atlanta? Are you sure?

Boring cold cold rain here... but given the alternative, I'm glad. Finally got this house really warm.

We have just been issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area of Columbia, SC. Interesting discussion on our NWS.

You're very close now...don't know why its colder out here where I am? Maybe cuz its further away from the city and radiational heat?

You'd be amazed how much the temperature varies, even moving the thermometer to different places around the yard gets wildly different measurements.

I do think temperatures will come up a bit as the rain gets heavier...
