On the news last night they were taliking about it and it is expected that the la nina will be here for the summer. Possibly making hurricanes more plentiful and stronger than ever before.

i agree. if the bermuda high parks itself outside our doors here in fl, it really could trouble. 2004 an 05 were nasty but it coulda geen so much worse. hopfully,we will look back at the end of the season and sigh with relief.

Duffy from Maine, have you ever experienced a hurricane first hand? lost power for weeks, wonder if youre goin loose your roof? i guess some people have to experience these things to wish they dont happen.I love the complexity that goes with tracking storms but i pray for anybody in their path,I hope 06 leaves without any U.S hits. We simply cant afford it. Im sorry if i sound testy but im sure most will agree with me.

I suppose they would Windy...i didn't mean to sound disrespectful towards any of the Victims of these Storms...BUT...you also know there's alot of ppl who want to experience the "Rush" of a storm as well....someone did a Poll on here not long ago and the majority said they'd ride out a Cat 3

experiencing a hurricane when you live in florida is one thing, you learn to expect it now down here.Im one of those people that said i would ride out up to a cat 3. not because i want to, but because leaving is a huge pain. i stress making your home safe to ride em out. Iv gone through 4 hurricanes and i assure you the aftermath is tuff. Really, if you want to experience the thrill of a hurricane drive in your car and head south on 95. The traffic will be very light since everyone will be heading north.
