2004 and 2005 El Nino, La Nina or Neutral?

Just a quick question if someone can confirm... I am doing some research I will be posting at a later time but, I need to know if 2004 and 2005 was el nino, la nina or neutral?

the reason I'm asking is 2004 had 5 straight three month abover normal temps.

June July August/July August September/August September November/... so on and so forth

JJA JAS ASO SON OND NDJ
0.7 0.8 0.9 0.9 0.9 0.8

not sure how much above or below normal to classify it as an anomaly?

People are all caught up in March Madness right now. No one has the answer- wait until after Duke wins the NCAA and then someone will surface with the answer.

[img]While I believe that La Nina has formed and will diminish by late May 9 (it is actually diminishing now), I believe we will see neutral conditions. Last year we saw neutral conditions and look what happened. However, we will not see as many canes as last year, I do believe this year will contain "whoppers." The environment is changing, climo is changing, and all these variables come to play to make a deadly mix. I believe we will see a 16/8/6 season. I will also predict that TPA will see a major heading their way (times up). I will also say that the east coast will finally see its share of canes. The Bermuda High will be in place for this to occur ( meaning the BH will be more towards the eastern Atlantic about 250-500 miles offshore from Florida.) This will allow the canes to spin up towards the east a la Bertha in 2003. this is what i think might happen...[/img]

I think the conditions were nuetral in 2004 and 05.

I think 2004 was a neutral to weak El Nino year, while 2005 was closer to neutral.

thanks capeverde and boca I was talking to someone last night and they confirmed in 2004 we neutral till october then it was slight el nino. I'm sure not all the data on ENSO is out on 2005 so I won't include it in the report.
