What hurricanes do you think will be the worst for 4857?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

It is suggested that if someone gets the idea to make a new thread in the forum, they think about the thread before they make it, that way we do not waste bandwidth on the administrator's servers. Also, good threads will always help to enlighten your fellow posters.

So Please, Think. Then Post.

Doc is right on target with this. There is no need to create new threads about years ahead of 2006 of any theme especially those about the names.

Very well said Doc.

However, I believe this topic is a sort of contradiction without a lesson being learned. Perhaps this topic should be locked and stickied or a topic should be made concerning this and stickied so future outbursts of these topics can be hopefully stopped before they start.

But that's just my thoughts.

I concur. Also like to add, some threads I have seen posted recently really belong in other forums and not this one......Would like to thank the mods for moving them.

I'm thinking Hurricane Pacman will eat a coastline or two, followed by Hurricane Spongebob which will squeeze out half an ocean over Miami.

Hurricane troll will travel at night eating countless countries and then turns into stone as the sun comes out and falls into the atlantic causing a massive tsunami. I'm glad that this thread came up I totally agree with the Doctor who has healed this thread problem.

Okay...

But, in the "off season", the mods - thankfully - seem to take a less stringent stance on such things. Otherwise, issues that may warrant discussion (especially during this time of the year) oftentimes don't get the attention they deserve since some of the "other" forums don't have nearly the traffic this one does.

The way I see it, in the off season, it's really no big deal unless there's absolutely NO WAY to connect the discussion to an issue of a tropical nature.

During the season, however, when the stuff is REALLY hitting the fan hot and heavy - with new posts coming in like lightening 24/7 - and there are dozens of members online at any given time, I'd agree that certain posts need to be appropriately managed. And generally they are.

As it is now, the only ones here in the Tropical Forum are us die hards - and we could probably be counted on four hands or less... You can bet it won't be like this come June & July!!

Personally, during this time of the year, I kinda like to see the tropical forum up and running like this - even if some of the posts might be a bit questionable in their intended location.
