And you can get cancer from eating overcooked meat. No thanks, I'll take my chances with the worms.

I never tried sushi before in my life and I never will. Anything raw is just nasty to me! I love seafood, but only boiled, fried or grilled. I love crawfish, shrimp, fish and crabs. I tried lobster only once in my whole life. And that was when I was on a cruise and I liked it. I won't eat anything exotic like squid, octupus or anything weird like that. I did try fried Alligator once and liked it. It tasted just like fried chicken.Janice wrote:Guess you don't like sushi then

Redfish Couvillion.. mmmmm
Oyster's Rockefeller
Crawfish pie
Oyster dressing (okay, so I LOVE oysters)
Shrimp dip appetizer

Not to sound arrogant BUT..........my fried chicken, I've been told is the BEST anyone has had, serioulsy, my aunts from Texas learned me how to cook chicken. SLOW fired in an electric skillet. I marinate the chicken 24 hours in STRONG salt water with Nature Seasoning (a GREAT spice), garlic powder and "What's this here sauce" *worcherster* and I spice the flour with SECRET spices
THEN.........side dishes, depending on the season (winter, summer):
Mashed potatoes (potato salad n the summer)
corn (or corn on the cob in summer)
Iced tea
Cherry turnovers for dessert.

Not to get to gross, about it; but I know of a case--woman around the Lafayette area, granted it was about 25 years ago while I was still working two jobs to finish my college--was a funeral driver and remember going into the prep room (nasty)... she died of trichinosis, and her brain wasn't pretty! Okay... that said, it IS kind of rare, but from what I understand it's anything but completely gone.
