You are just like John, just warm it on both sides and it is ready. John was in Japan and said a fish on his plate moved. That is how fresh fish are over there. He said the people at his table laughed. He ate it anyway. It was still alive when they placed it on the table.

I am the opposite. My steaks have to be well done or I won't eat it. I am like that with all my meat. Burgers, chicken, etc... have to be cooked well done or I won't touch it.

"Just rip the horns off and wipe its butt!", I always say. :D

I love extremely rare meat. Just seared on the outside for that extra bit of flavor.

And you can get cancer from eating overcooked meat. No thanks, I'll take my chances with the worms.

I never tried sushi before in my life and I never will. Anything raw is just nasty to me! I love seafood, but only boiled, fried or grilled. I love crawfish, shrimp, fish and crabs. I tried lobster only once in my whole life. And that was when I was on a cruise and I liked it. I won't eat anything exotic like squid, octupus or anything weird like that. I did try fried Alligator once and liked it. It tasted just like fried chicken.

REALLY hard choice; but here goes:

Redfish Couvillion.. mmmmm
Oyster's Rockefeller
Crawfish pie
Oyster dressing (okay, so I LOVE oysters)
Shrimp dip appetizer
and for dessert:
Banana's Foster!

Okay, so I'm a real Couillion fro back da' Bayou... but those are FAB dishes!

Not to sound arrogant BUT..........my fried chicken, I've been told is the BEST anyone has had, serioulsy, my aunts from Texas learned me how to cook chicken. SLOW fired in an electric skillet. I marinate the chicken 24 hours in STRONG salt water with Nature Seasoning (a GREAT spice), garlic powder and "What's this here sauce" *worcherster* and I spice the flour with SECRET spices 8-) THEN.........side dishes, depending on the season (winter, summer):

Mashed potatoes (potato salad n the summer)
corn (or corn on the cob in summer)
Iced tea
Cherry turnovers for dessert.

Well, when you see all the people around the world eating rare meats, raw fish, etc., I am sure they are just as healthy as those who are eating it well done. Asians love raw fish and they have been eating it since the beginning of time. They look healthy.

Hey, George looks healthy too :cheesy:

My husband said there has not been a case of triconosis in the US since 1953 or 1954. I will try to find a link for that.

Not to get to gross, about it; but I know of a case--woman around the Lafayette area, granted it was about 25 years ago while I was still working two jobs to finish my college--was a funeral driver and remember going into the prep room (nasty)... she died of trichinosis, and her brain wasn't pretty! Okay... that said, it IS kind of rare, but from what I understand it's anything but completely gone.
