maybe im mistaken but i believe this thread is continued off of the thread that talks about the easterly wave forecast to move into the GOM and hit texas? tell me if Im wrong

To refresh memories, remember that a lot of tropical waves when they leave Africa they become devoid of any convection until they find favorable condicions for convection to develop. That's mainly why we have during the season many tropical waves that only develop when they are close to land or cross into the EPAC.
