ya...but the shear looks like it doesnt clear out of the GOM until later if at all

whatever happens will have to be in the carribean because shear is highly unfavorable anywere in the gulf of mexico threw 72 hrs! :roll:

Nice high in the GOM according to the graphic in 72hrs.Can you envision the path of the system?

I don't see that tropical wave that they say is along 60W on sat.

maybe im mistaken but i believe this thread is continued off of the thread that talks about the easterly wave forecast to move into the GOM and hit texas? tell me if Im wrong

right now its occastional weak brief flare-ups but as the shear dies down, it may develop more and stronger convection

TROPICAL WAVE IS ALONG 59W/60W S OF 15N MOVING W 5-10 KT. WELL
DEFINED SIGNATURE CURVATURE IS OBSERVED ON INFRARED SATELLITE
IMAGERY. SCATTERED SHOWERS/ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE WITHIN 60 NM
OF LINE 11N58W-12N62W INCLUDING SOME OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS.

There's nothing outhere right now thats for sure.there's a bunch of convection over land but thats it,lets see what happens in the coming days.

i dont understand the curvature part....the wave is barely definable at all...how can the curvature of the wave be there when the wave isnt?

To refresh memories, remember that a lot of tropical waves when they leave Africa they become devoid of any convection until they find favorable condicions for convection to develop. That's mainly why we have during the season many tropical waves that only develop when they are close to land or cross into the EPAC.
