All times are in UTC, which uses the same 24 hour clock as does military time.

NWS products given in terms of a 24 hour clock are in UTC

Just drove home from work and the rain was coming down soooo fast and so much I could only drive like 20 mph... Everything in the area was flooding, the right sides of the road were flooded, the Copperfield subdivision was flooding... Very bad stuff indeed...

As I read this and keep up with what is going on I keep thinking about the fact that my husband and his friends went fishing yesterday morning out of LA near Venice and they are supposed to be coming back today by boat through the Gulf. Yes, I am scared. I have been trying to call him today and either his phone is dead or he is out of cell range. So keep me updated on what the weather is doing.

According to the 5:30pm TWO, there are no signs of tropical development (this sytem seems to have missed it's oppurtunity), but still expect heavy rains:

Removed.

--see the post right above this one.--

I will be watching the GOM closely over the coming days, however, in case anything else tries to spin up.

If you look at north america water vapor loop, there is a tap of moisture all the way from the ITCZ flowing straight north into texas. It is amazing!

Looks like most of the moisture is now headed NNE or NE.
