Yep, strange that just a few days ago the NWS was talking of a secondary surge of moisture on Friday (today) with PWS back over 2.5". We got lucky with this one.

Houstonia, I was talking about last week. I was also referring to the possibilities of 15+ inches of rain in a short period of time that never materialized, which I'm glad never happened.
I just read that discussion jschlitz. It looks like rain chances for us here in southeast, Texas will continue through most of next week and possibly into next weekend. The radar is looking pretty healthy this morning with scattered popcorn convection over most of southeast, Texas. Nothing all that bad but that could change with a little more heating this afternoon.

I'm taking off next Sunday to the Hill Country (Wimberley area) with my family for a week. We've gone a good while without any development so it's just a matter of time IMO.
I'll go ahead and start another thread on the rain chances this week for Southeast, Texas.
