It looks like there have been some glimmers of the E-W convergence line this morning, but with all the mess offshore it can't seem to hold together.

Another quick look, my first since the earlier post, says you are right or that it is right on the coast to the SW of Houston.

The hyped up major rain event never materialized. Sure, some places got some storms that produced some good rain totals but IMO, it was way overhyped....which is a good thing of course. Dry air is now filtering into the area.

Yep, strange that just a few days ago the NWS was talking of a secondary surge of moisture on Friday (today) with PWS back over 2.5". We got lucky with this one.

Tell that to the people who are getting 2 inches+ today!

It's a blowin' and a rainin' all over 3/4ths of Houston right now.

Cy-Fair is getting drenched right now.

Houstonia, I was talking about last week. I was also referring to the possibilities of 15+ inches of rain in a short period of time that never materialized, which I'm glad never happened.

I just read that discussion jschlitz. It looks like rain chances for us here in southeast, Texas will continue through most of next week and possibly into next weekend. The radar is looking pretty healthy this morning with scattered popcorn convection over most of southeast, Texas. Nothing all that bad but that could change with a little more heating this afternoon.

Hey Johnny - yep, more than I thought there would be. And with them moving so slow some spots could get a good drenching. BTW - did you see this AM's forecast discussion where they said they we need to keep an eye on the wave that's east of the islands?

I'm taking off next Sunday to the Hill Country (Wimberley area) with my family for a week. We've gone a good while without any development so it's just a matter of time IMO.

I'll go ahead and start another thread on the rain chances this week for Southeast, Texas.
