Complex pattern in the GOM right now, looks more mid/upper level at this point. I just do not like the look, it has the getting ready to do somehting look. I know that sounds stupid, but it has the look of trouble.

Likely a upper ULL to the southwest of the trough axis. But we will need to watch it just in case some convection can form over it. I will take a look at water vapor and other maps to confirm if its a upper low.

Yeah its a upper low....With a surface trough to the northeast side. Remember how are sysem over in the western Pacific formed. We will need to watch just incase the upper low can form a surface low to its east or northeast...Or a area of low presure=convection to the northeast or east. Once it doe's so the upper low should move westward or west-southward. Which like system like Bill 2003,Grace,Fay all add upper lows. If I remember Bret had one to. Maybe this is what Joe b was talking about.

The system off the east coast reminds me of Eddy 2002 moving southwestward. Heck it looks better then him. This system reminds me of Fay a little?
