Central Caribbean wave

I thought it might get a mention on the latest TWO, but I still think it bears watching, because shear is as lite as I've seen it in a while in the Caribbean and T-storm are reforming. the area @ 16N 72W.

Upper level conditions appear favorable...shear is very low...I do see some "bend" in the low level clouds feeding into the system...notice on visible loop the clouds moving from SSE to NNW south of PR

I would guess that big EC trough will pull this little system NW into the NW Caribbean and GOM - so if it stay together we sould have something.

Is this blob on the north end of a tropical wave? I checked the models and it does not have it developing. Anyways, it will be intersting to see if this develops and moves towards the GOM. (Though, I don't wish for it to move there)

I think this will be our main area to watch over the next 4-5 days as it moves west and then graduall turns WNW and NW into the NW Caribbean.

perhaps we will see and invest shortly on this as the convection seems to be deep and maintaining today....as it moves westward in the Caribbean. Notice the cold front extending across the GOM and northern Florida....

I think those that are not jumping on this bandwagon are waiting for the convection to sustain - if it sustains through the evening and night, I would say send a plane out tomorrow morning.

There's nothing going on here. I've been studying close up GHCC visible loops of this area for the past hour or so and I cannot see a single sign of circulation or organization. No signs of anything....
