Fired up "Ye Ol' Pot Belly Stove!"
Well folks, this IS, without a DOUBT, the EARLIEST that I've built a FIRE in the true pot bellied stove
This evening, 21 Sept. at 1730 hrs, I built a fire....this mornings LOW? 23.1°
the high today at the house was 65° with a stiff N-NW breeze of 23 gusting to 39 making for a CHILLY day

Come on UP....better wear your long drawers though, I guarentee ya one thing, ALL these people (some 110,000) for the car show are wishing THEY did!! The HIGH today? 53°with cloudy conditions AND WIND!!
That's still not cold IMO. But then again, I have to giggle at the Texas-born folks down here who bundle up for anything below 70°.

A high of 53 and a low in the lower 20s with stiff winds and clouds is cold to me! Especially for September.GalvestonDuck wrote:azsnowman wrote:GalvestonDuck wrote:PBS in September?

Well come on up AFLAC
I'll buy the ice cold MGD and make a pitcher of frozen margaritas, sit outside after the sun goes down and MAYBE you'll think it's cold
Seriously, 20° at night with a N-NE breeze of 10-14 mph....figure out the windchill and then let's see who's not cold....and as it's been said, for September, it's downright CHILLY

I said 53° wasn't cold...didn't say anything about 20°.

We are expected to dip into the lower to middle 50s in north Houston tonight. Those type of numbers are going to feel very chilly for this area considering it is only late September!angelwing wrote:It's supposed to go up to 72 today, but when I walked outside this AM to go to work, it was donwright chilly! Think it was 59, it's goning to take a little bit to get used to this again!
